Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Americus AP 2000
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Enhanced load durability
- Improved controllability
- Fuel efficient tire model
OVERVIEW
The Americus AP 2000 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was made for the vehicle’s all axle positions, but it is recommended mainly for the steer axle.
The tire ensures great all weather traction. The all season tire compound and optimized tread design increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire’s footprint. The compound’s flexibility, the tread’s firm road grip and the better hydroplaning resistance promote a secure year round driving experience.
The ribbed tread pattern provides a flat footprint which improves the tire’s controllability. The constant road contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The maintained road contact ensures a safer performance as it optimizes the tire’s shape. The special reinforced internal structure features strengthened steel belts. They guarantee a secure performance and exceptional durability as they prevent the deformation of the tire’s shape. The optimized footprint and shape enable the tire to withstand and carry heavy loads, boosting the versatility of its usability.
The AP 2000 offers a fuel efficient drive and a longer lasting tread life. The special all season compound prevents heat build-up on the tire during the drive, which eases the pressure off the model. In this manner, the tire decreases its rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tires, which determines the energy needed for the vehicle to keep the tires in motion. The reduced rolling resistance successfully lowers the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making it more fuel conscious and environmentally friendly. The lowered rolling resistance also slows the tread wear rate down, lengthening the tire’s usability significantly.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
